Aeromexico 777 first class

I was unexpectedly allowed to board the aircraft before all the other passengers and was rushed to avoid interrupting the boarding process. Unfortunately, I did not get any photos of the gate area. A new terminal was built at GRU for international flights, but for some reason, Aeromexico's operations have continued at terminal 2, which is older. Our flight departed from gate 241, which had a small seating area. All passengers departing Brazil must go through immigration upon departure, and there are kiosks available for Brazilian citizens to make the process even smoother. Going through security and immigration took no more than 10 minutes in total. Upon arrival at the airport, I went straight to the international departures in terminal 2 as I had been able to check in for my flight on my phone and obtain a mobile boarding pass. My trip was short, so I only packed a carry-on bag and my backpack. I typically arrive at airports just one hour before my flights (in no way am I making a recommendation for you to do the same), but because of the hotel shuttle schedule, I arrived an hour and a half before my flight. This is the view from the Hampton Inn GRU Airport Hotel, a great location for plane spotting. Photo: Lukas Souza | Simple Flying
